Apple Cider Donuts: Hot Cinnamon Sugar Donuts, Made All Day at Long's
Made on site in the Cider Mill barn and sold hot, by the one or by the dozen, every day we are open. This page is about the donut. For hours, directions and everything else in the barn, see the Cider Mill page.
What Makes a Long's Apple Cider Donut
Follow your nose. It knows the way.
There is no secret trick. The donuts are made right here, all day, and sold while they are still hot. That is the whole recipe for why a dozen rarely survives the drive home.
Hot, all day long
The line runs from open to close every day the Cider Mill is open, so there is no magic hour to show up. Whenever you get here, they are warm.
Made where the cider is pressed
The cider comes from our own apples, pressed on site, and the donuts are made in the same barn. Grab a gallon with your dozen and the drive home takes care of itself.
Straight off the line
You can watch them come out. Grab a cold cider slush in September or a hot cider in November, the donuts work both ways. Pricing for singles and dozens is posted at the counter.
Cider Donuts by the Dozen: What to Know Before You Grab a Bag
They are at their best in the first hour, warm, with the cinnamon sugar still soft. A dozen is the standard order, a gallon of cider is the standard partner, and the bag usually does not make it to the driveway.
- Sold by the single and the dozen. Pricing is posted at the counter.
- Eat them the same day. Day two, 8 to 10 seconds in the microwave brings most of the magic back.
- Pair them right. Cold cider slush in September, hot cider in November.
- Cashless counter. Cards and mobile pay only.
